The Foundation is under the guidance and leadership of our Board of Trustees, which is currently composed of seven dedicated and professional leaders in Hong Kong. With vast spectrum of knowledge and expertise in law, accounting and finance, our Trustees also possess extensive experiences in community services.
Besides establishing, reviewing and discussing missions, policies and strategies towards various scopes, including but not limited to grant-making, governance, management and finances, the Board also ensures that the Foundation is steering towards being a role model in engaged philanthropy, offering support only to the most deserving initiatives driving positive change.
Ms. CHEN Wai Wai, Vivien (Chairman)
Ms. Chen is the Honorary Chairman of Nan Fung Group and like her late father Dr. Chen, she is a devout philanthropist and a distinguished entrepreneur. Currently a board member of a number of public organizations in Hong Kong including the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation and Shaw College, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Ms. Chen founded The Chen Wai Wai Vivien Foundation Limited of which she is also the Chairman.
Ms. CHEUNG Tih Loh, Karen
Ms. Cheung has a B.A. in Neuroscience and Leadership from Claremont McKenna College in the United States and is the Director of Vervain Resources. As the granddaughter of Dr. Chen, she is actively engaged in various projects steered by the Foundation and had served on the Adventist Hospital Cancer Fund and Ronald McDonald House.
Mr. CHEUNG Wai Hing
Mr. Cheung is a Solicitor, China Appointed Attesting Officer and a senior partner in a leading law firm in Hong Kong, with substantial experiences in community services, including as Chairman of the Board of Directors of HKSAR Government’s Applied Research Council; Hon. Legal Advisor of Po Leung Kuk, The Hong Kong Tuberculosis, Chest and Heart Diseases Association, Wai Yin Association and other local charities.
Ms. CHOI Sau Lin, Doris
Ms. Choi graduated from the University of Hong Kong and started her career in private trust with HSBC in the 1970s. She has vast professional experience of working with family trusts in strategic planning and solutions.
Mr. KUOK Hoi Sang, Stephen
Mr. Kuok is the Co-Chairman and Managing Director of Chevalier Group and with over 40 years of experience in strategic planning and business operation management in business investments such as building construction, civil engineering, building supplies, aluminium windows and curtain walls, lifts and escalators, electrical and mechanical engineering, property development. He had served on a number of HKSAR Government boards and committees of the respective industries.
Mr. LAM Kwok Kwong, Paul
Mr. Lam is a certified accountant. He has over 35 years of experience in real estate development in Hong Kong and overseas.
Mr. LUI Wing Kwong, Gilbert
Mr. Lui is a certified accountant and a devout Buddhist, currently a Director and/or an Hon. Adviser of several Buddhist associations in Hong Kong. He also often appears as a lecturer on Buddhism at The Buddhist Alumni Association.
Mr. SETO Kai Shui, Frank
Mr. Seto received his LLB and MBA in Canada and was admitted as a barrister and/or solicitor of the Supreme Courts in Hong Kong, Canada and England and Wales. He is currently the Vice Chairman and an Executive Director of Nan Fung Group.
The Foundation office is a group of passionate and devoted people of diversified skills and backgrounds, overseeing the Foundation’s operations and integrating the Foundation’s core values to achieve significant results and impacts in education, medical research & healthcare, as well as the promotion of Buddhist Values.
Alan Chow, Executive Director Mr. Chow was a banker with over 25 years of diverse experience in financial services before committing himself to a second career in philanthropy. He is currently Director and Council Member of Hong Kong Red Cross and Chairman of Hong Kong Red Cross Special Education & Rehabilitation Service Governing Committee. He is also Member of the Investment Committee of The Community Chest of Hong Kong. In 2013, Mr. Chow received the award of Outstanding Third Age Citizen for his remarkable achievements in social services, voluntary and charity work.
