Many young people in Hong Kong face challenges in identifying their strengths and charting a meaningful path from school to career. Pursuit of X (PoX), initiated by The D. H. Chen Foundation and CoCoon Foundation, is designed to address this gap. The programme combines values-driven life exploration with cross-sector collaboration, serving as an end-to-end youth development ecosystem that guides participants through self-discovery, career exploration, and ultimately, real-world readiness.
Building on the success of its debut, the next chapter of PoX — launching at the end of 2025 — introduces a hybrid model powered by cross-sector collaboration, blending immersive experiences with innovative technology. This evolved version merges PoX’s proven approach to personal and values-based growth with MatchBox, an online life and career exploration platform co-created with CoCoon Foundation. Through partnerships with schools such as Elegantia College, Po Leung Kuk Ma Kam Ming Secondary School and Concordia Lutheran School, alongside companies including BNet, ShipAny and WeExpand, it provides young people from different backgrounds with equitable access to diverse career insights and real-world opportunities.
Targeting youth aged 15 to 25, the programme integrates technology, experiential learning, mentorship, and reflection to foster a sense of purpose and personal agency. Through its Four-Phase Journey, participants gain the mindset and skills to lead with empathy and authenticity:
By nurturing values-driven careers, authentic connections, and compassionate leadership, PoX empowers young people to act with purpose in an ever-changing world. The Foundation believes that through this transformative journey, participants not only prepare for a fulfilling career but also contribute to building a more compassionate and sustainable society — redefining what success means for this generation.
