    We are currently looking for high calibre candidates to fill the following positions:

    Senior Program Manager/ Program Manager

    Aspiring to build a compassionate society and promote compassion-based values including Trust, Respect, Selflessness, Gratitude and Openness, The D. H. Chen Foundation (“the Foundation”) has established five Institutes and among them, the Institute of Education Excellence (“IEE”) aims to create a collaborative platform for showcasing diverse excellence and unleashing potentials. To advance the strategic development and scope of IEE that align with the vision, mission, values and strategic priorities of the Foundation, the Foundation is looking for a Senior Program Manager/ Program Manager to join the team and working closely with Chief Program Officer and Program Director, the new team member will:

      • be responsible for the overall strategic development and operation of IEE;
      • initiate, develop and/or implement philanthropic initiatives and partnerships;
      • identify suitable partners and/or organizations and build strong networks advancing the development of IEE;
      • build cross-discipline and cross-sector synergies internally and externally with relevant stakeholders to promote the Foundation’s and IEE’s philanthropic objectives;
      • oversee tasks, including but not limited to, identifying competent partners/collaborators; researching, benchmarking, analyzing data to make recommendations, crafting and managing projects, and engaging internal and external resources to deliver on outcomes and impacts;
      • independently manage funding applications, including but not limited to, due diligence, assessment, proposal writing, programs/projects implementation and related event management;
      • monitor the progress of approved programs/projects, including but not limited to, donation disbursements, regular visits to partner organizations and provision of regular updates;
      • support publicity related matters such as preparation of speeches, press releases, and arrangement of publicity events;
      • participate in other Foundation projects as assigned by Senior Management from time to time.

    The Senior Program Manager/Program Manager should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

      • a sound and relevant university degree, with a minimum of 8 years relevant working experience (a minimum of 5 years in the case of Program Manager);
      • strong alignment with the value-based vision and mission of the Foundation;
      • strong knowledge and/or expertise in formal education, youth empowerment, social innovation and policy, and/or philanthropy;
      • growth mindset, excellent research/analytic skills, and ability to connect the dots;
      • competent program development and management skills;
      • excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
      • a proactive learner and good team player.

     

    Assistant Program Manager/ Program Executive

    Aspiring to build a compassionate society and promote compassion-based values including Trust, Respect, Selflessness, Gratitude and Openness, the Foundation has established five Institutes and among them, the Above and Beyond Institute (“ABI”) aims to put compassion into action to address emerging societal needs. ​To advance the strategic development and scope of ABI that align with the vision, mission, values and strategic priorities of the Foundation, the Foundation is looking for an Assistant Program Manager/ Program Executive to join the team and working closely with Chief Program Officer and Program Director, the new team member will:

      • support the overall development of ABI that align with the vision, mission and values of the Foundation;
      • identify suitable partners and/or organizations and build strong networks with relevant stakeholders in the development of ABI that align with the strategic priorities and goals of the Foundation;
      • work and collaborate with the other Institutes of the Foundation to add values and complement each other’s work and to drive for better outcomes and impacts;
      • conduct research on relevant social/community issues and keep abreast of the practices and development of the philanthropic sector;
      • manage funding applications, including, but not limited to, conducting due diligence, proposals writing, undertaking assessment and approval process;
      • implement and monitor approved projects under ABI, including, but not limited to, donation disbursements, event/timeline management, regular visits to and meetings with partner organizations, reports preparation and provision of regular updates to the ABI Committee, Board of Trustees, Senior Management and other relevant stakeholders;
      • prepare budgets and maintain proper and accurate donation records and database;
      • support the continuous improvement process to develop and enhance the overall project management system and workflow of ABI;
      • participate in other corporate/program team projects as assigned by Senior Management.

    The Assistant Program Manager/Program Executive should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

      • a sound and relevant university degree, with a minimum of 4 years relevant working experience (a minimum of 2 years in the case of Program Executive);
      • strong alignment with the value-based vision and mission of the Foundation;
      • passionate about philanthropic work, social good, human services and community capacity development;
      • growth mindset, excellent research/analytic skills, and ability to connect the dots;
      • competent program development and management skills;
      • excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
      • a proactive learner and good team player;
      • prior work experience with institutions in PRC and/or overseas would be an advantage.
