Youth ImpACT Award (“YIAA”), a unique service learning and social innovation Award, is now open for public voting! Over 200 teams of secondary school students have submitted creative and feasible ideas addressing various needs of the community. We need you to help us pick the top ideas which will go through to the Pitch Day and compete for 10 finalist spots. The finalist teams will each receive a HK$10,000 seed fund to build a prototype of their service projects in summer. Please cast your votes on YIAA’s website for your 3 favorite ideas and help them advance to the next stage of the Award.
Jointly presented by The Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association Hong Kong and The D. H. Chen Foundation, and supported by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service and SIE Fund, YIAA aims to enable students to go through a journey of empathy, ideation and action for change. In the past six months since YIAA’s Official Launch, over 1,500 students took part in a total of 56 training workshops and 34 NGO and community visits to develop a deeper understanding of social problems and the application of innovation to address different issues.
We look forward to the ideas submitted by our young people and see how they can make an impACT!
