The D. H. Chen Foundation is currently hiring an  Assistant Accountant (Hong Kong, permanent role).

As the Foundation continues to evolve and innovate, we now seek a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Assistant Accountant to support our financial operations and contribute to the continuous improvement of our systems and processes.

Key deliverables
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your key deliverables include:

• • Responsible for accounts receivable and payment operations which includes recording in the system accurately, and timely distribution to relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures, including but not limited to preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations, accounting matters related to property management and leasing
  • Support the preparation of management reports and consolidated financial statements
  • Provide documentation and support during external audits
  • Support in tax filings and compliance matters as required by the Inland Revenue Department (IRD)
  • Assist in the implementation of a new ERP system and other tools to enhance operational efficiency
  • Handle any other ad-hoc duties and assignments as assigned from time to time

Core expertise, knowledge and experience
We are looking for a values-driven and collaborative candidate who has:

• • A recognized university degree in Accounting or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office; experience in Salesforce, Oracle System and system enhancement is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Passionate about integrating AI tools to enhance workflows
  • Immediate availability is highly preferred
