Guide dogs on duty
During the joyful season of Chinese New Year, the Foundation hosted the “Lovely Piglets” event on Feb 17, 2019 inviting ten of our NGO partners to showcase the meaningful work they are driving in the community. At the event, young children and their parents learnt about the incredible help guide dogs render to people with visual impairments, the peace of mind Buddhist Chaplains bring to people in sickness and their families, and the love and care given to at-risk children, etc. To encourage families to be more environmentally friendly, The D. H. Chen Foundation Scholars taught children to make art with recycled materials. We hope that in the Year of the Pig, our young participants will continue the spirit of giving and keep contribute to the community in their own ways.
