Youth ImpACT Award Final Ceremony 2018/19 – Innovate Today, Change Tomorrow

Co-presented by The D. H. Chen Foundation and The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong (“BGCA”), The Youth ImpACT Award (“YIAA”) celebrated the achievements of the eleven finalist teams at the Final Ceremony on December 19, 2019. Nearly 100 like-minded school principals, teachers, NGO colleagues and social innovators have shared the joy at the occasion.

Showcasing the participating youth’s innovativeness, team work and perseverance, the ceremony was graced by the presence of judges including Mr. Cheung Wai Hing, Trustee of the Foundation, Mr. Charles Chan, Executive Director of BGCA, and two very experienced social innovators, Mr. Brian Cheng, Chief Operation Officer of Generation Hong Kong and Ms. Fion Leung, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Time Auction.

The eleven teams of finalists were selected through a pool of more than 300 ideas by online voting, internal screening and a Pitch Day in the past year. The teams shared their prototyping experiences during the summer and reflected on their learning. All judges expressed their appreciation of the high quality of the teams’ innovative ideas and presentation, as well as the finalists’ in-depth reflection and idea refinement throughout the process.
